Thanks for visiting our Blog about our new life on Skye. We wanted to keep our family and friends updated on how our big move was going and how the house build was coming along and thought this would be the easiest way.

Picnic on the Beach
We've had some lovely warm weather the past 2-3 weeks and last weekend we spent the day at Orbost beach and had a picnic on the rocks. It was very beautiful and the snow topped Cuillin mountains are shown in background of the photo.

Crikey, is that snow that we can see over on the far hills there - hope it hasn't been too cold. Great shot.
Hi Ang, it is snow, but only because the mountains are so high, it's not at all cold on the lower ground.
The snow topped mountains look stunning when the sun is shining down on them.
Yep, it certainly looks pretty amazing, makes me realise just how high they are.
